Saw a £10 charge waiting to clear on my online banking that showed up as "REWARDS CLUB 03451740508 KENT GB". I googled "Rewards Club Kent" and discovered it’s supposed to be a group just for people working at Kent County Council. Thing is, I’ve got no links to Kent or the council at all. The phone number is actually linked to subscription scam reports. My bank said they can’t stop the pending payment now, but if it does get taken, I should get the money back by contacting their fraud team. Meanwhile, they’ll make sure no more payments can be taken going forward.

serenity funeral plan called sayin my missus asked for a callback - no way she did. He gave me a mobile number 0292 1261316 and said his name was "Madgit" - sounds like a hobbit if you ask me! Told him she never asked for a call and ended the chat there.

I got a call from this number around 4:45 this afternoon. The person on the line identified themselves as being from Serenity Funeral Plan Services, and they asked if I was aware of how funeral costs have surged over the past decade. I quickly interrupted and pointed out that, particularly in these trying times due to that wretched virus, it’s tough enough to handle everything without being harassed by calls like this. Honestly, for some people, these discussions might be deeply distressing and unwelcome.

I looked up "Who owns Capital Life funeral plans?" and found out they started in 2017. Before that, they went by Enertel Limited, and even earlier as Computer Assisted Marketing Company Ltd. They’re owned by Bdi Group Limited, which is a private firm. Google doesn’t have any customer reviews for them yet. Their phone number is 0800 411 8683. Honestly, they’re so pushy and sketchy you might end up better off without dealing with them at all!

got a call on our landline earlier but no message was left. from what ive read in other posts, it seems like it might be a funeral directors. my son recently sorted new mobiles for me and my wife, both with 02, just a couple weeks ago. he gave them our ages for insurance stuff, and since were both over 60, i wonder if it’s just a coincidence? we had to call 02 on the landline to activate the new phones before they started working.

Tried to talk to the wife but she wasn’t in and the bloke I spoke to just kept going on about data protection (gdpr). Eventually got out of him that he was with Capital Life Funeral Plans. With a close family member passing away last year and another recently, getting a random call about that was really bad timing. I’ve never dealt with this firm before, plus my number’s ex-directory and on the TPS. So how on earth did they get my info? Just sent them an email to ask!

I picked up and just heard a woman’s voice right at the end before they cut me off. They haven’t called back since, so whatever it was about couldn’t have been that urgent. I’m guessing it was one of those typical calls from Daisy or someone, saying their files say I was in a car crash recently and asking if I was at fault. Pretty sneaky, considering I don't even have a licence. Total scam if you ask me.
