So an email popped up and I figured I’d have a look. Pretty glad I did, it seems a bit fishy to me.

So, I got this email that said it was from Halifax, telling me if I didn't call to pick a reward, my Reward account would get merged into my current account. When I tried ringing the number they gave, it just wouldn't connect. Later, I looked up the number and saw it was listed as suspicious or risky. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

Got an email addressed to me with my surname on it which raised a red flag straight away, so I rang the number just to see what would happen. The bloke on the phone asked for details they should’ve already had if it was real. Then he wanted me to give my bank account info for this supposed prize and said I had to put money in through some other payment method to confirm it. I told him he must be taking me for a complete mug, and then he just cut me off.

A bloke with a really thick accent called and actually asked for me by name! I cut him off straight away and told him to remove my number from their list. But he just wouldn't agree.
