Got a call from someone pretending to be Barclays, claimed there was an issue with some transactions of mine. They somehow convinced me to share a few details, enough to get into my account. Luckily, I rang my bank right away, and they managed to block the payment before any money was taken.

I received a rather alarming call from someone purporting to be from the Fraud department of Barclays, who insisted that there was a questionable transaction occurring in London. As soon as I began to probe further into the details, the individual insisted I retrieve a secure code from my Barclays app. However, upon pressing for more information, the tone of the caller shifted dramatically; they became quite hostile and resorted to name-calling. It was a rather disconcerting experience!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from a company attempting to extract money, but it all seemed rather dubious. When we mentioned that we would reach out to Barclays through our app for clarification, he abruptly hung up. Not to be deterred, we proceeded to check with Barclays, and they assured us it was unequivocally a fraudulent attempt.

I received a call purporting to be from Barclays’ fraud team, and they claimed to be looking into some suspicious activity. They asked whether I'd been clicking on a lot of dodgy messages and seemed to know that I use an Android phone, as well as details about my recent purchases. However, when I rang up the genuine fraud department of my actual bank, they couldn't find any record of the transactions this caller mentioned. It raised quite a few alarm bells for me!

He mentioned that companies like Mothercare, Smile Dental Care, and Amazon based in Aberdeen were attempting to withdraw funds from my credit card, which I can assure you is completely untrue. Just had a ring from this number a moment ago. I'd advise steering clear of it. The chap on the other end sounded rather convincing, claiming I had fallen victim to some sort of scam.
