Someone rang saying they were from Virgin Media 02, with a lady speaking in an American voice asking for "Andrea." I've lived at this address for 26 years and no Andrea has ever lived here during that time. When I told her that, she kept pushing, asking if I knew where Andrea was or if I could pass on a message. I've had loads of annoying or scam calls recently all wanting to speak to Andrea. Seems like they might have some old info about previous residents or something.

Just to clear up any worries, this 0345 045 0586 number is definitely a legit Virgin Media Mobile contact. I've talked to their staff a couple of times on this number myself. Sometimes there's a bit of a delay before someone answers, maybe due to where their call centre is or signal issues. So no need to stress, it’s a proper number, not a scam 😀

It's crazy how these #### have managed to get hold of Virgin Media customers' details, maybe someone working at Virgin is part of this scam and handed over a list with all the names and phone numbers? Virgin's own forum is even saying sorry to people who've been called from this number, so why say it's not Virgin if someone claims to work there? Lots of people aren’t savvy enough to check these numbers and could easily get scammed. Who’s meant to be stopping these sorts of crimes? And who’s responsible for giving out these 0345 numbers anyway?

I’m with Virgin Media and I can confirm this number isn’t from us. It’s been ringing me loads but never leaves a voicemail which seems dodgy because we always leave a message explaining why we rang if it goes to answerphone. Also, we’d either send a text or email if we had to get in touch about your bill or something. Plus, we NEVER ask for your bank details or account number over the phone as that’s private info.

This week, from the 13th to the 17th of March '23, my phone's been ringing off the hook with three separate calls on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, all purporting to be from Virgin Media. Got a call on my mobile from a woman with a strong accent, saying she was from Virgin Media. Somehow she knew my dad’s full name and said she needed to have a word with him. Got a call on my phone from a woman with an American accent claiming she was from Virgin Mobile and asking for a Lucy Bowman. I asked her to say it again and after she confirmed, I told her I have no idea who that is. She said sorry and then just hung up - no goodbye or anything, so rude! I tried cancelling with V Media like 5 times but either couldn’t get through or was told that the department wasn’t available. Funny how they manage to phone you super quick though, got two calls today each about 20 seconds! Seems they only want you when you’re leaving.

I ended my contract with Virgin Media a while ago. Since then, this random number keeps ringing me up. I was only getting 60Mbps but paying for 100. Sky are promising quicker speeds, half the price, and a fixed deal for 3 years. Maybe they’ll bother calling me after those 3 years are up.

I recently left Virgin Media too. They keep ringing me two or three times every day trying to get me back. I picked up once and told them I wasn’t interested in going back, but they just won’t stop! Shame they don’t put as much work into giving customers decent deals after their contract ends. Instead, they just charge you a fortune while you’re with them and then hound you relentlessly as soon as you cancel!

Yeah, it was Virgin Media ringing my home phone. The number popped up on the screen. They just wanted to make sure I was ok with the changes I’d done to my plan the day before. Everything’s fine with it, no probs at all.

I got a text claiming to be from Virgin about some changes I've made. Which is true 🧐 but honestly, I looked up a number when Sky sent me a brilliant offer, and except for one person saying they worked for Sky and sounded legit, everyone else reckoned it was a scam. I got proper worried. Turns out it was actually Sky. Still, I stuck with Virgin for my broadband. I’ve got a 14 year old daughter who uses the Xbox and chats to mates, and apparently Sky’s speeds aren’t quite up to scratch or something. I’m not gonna call back, if Virgin want me they’ve already got my number!

I closed my Virgin Media account recently. This number rang me on my mobile yesterday evening and then on my home phone earlier today. Didn’t pick up. Had to ring Virgin myself today because they didn’t properly confirm the account cancellation. The Virgin rep, who I guess was representing the company, just told me to "ignore the calls" if I’m not interested; apparently there’s nothing they can do. Such a load of rubbish.

I ended my Virgin contract yesterday, gave them the usual 30 day notice and I've already had 8 calls! I picked up the first one and they kept trying to persuade me to stay. I told them no way and to remove me from their system, but still got blasted with 7 more calls after that!!!

They've called me about four times and never left a message. I just cancelled with Virgin Media because they're complete rip offs who couldn’t care less about loyal customers or proper service. When I tried to cancel, they actually argued with me and claimed I wouldn’t get better service anywhere else - absolutely ridiculous!
