They claim to be from NPower’s billing team, asking for our bank details and meter readings. I contacted the genuine NPower myself, and they told me to report these calls. I asked them to tell me my email to prove it was really SSE, then they just hung up. Thing is, they're not even our provider in the first place, so there was no renewal to do. The call bounced around between a bloke with a Chinese accent, then his manager who sounded similar, and finally some billing guy with the same accent. Seemed like some dodgy energy firm trying to sign me up. I told him we get our energy from M&S, and now I’ve blocked the number.
