3 yearsI received a call from this number, alongside a no caller ID, purporting to be from NatWest. It all felt rather legitimate since the chap had my personal details, which likely could have been harvested from a link I clicked on earlier. He claimed to be part of the fraud investigation team and instructed me to set up a Revolut account to safeguard my funds, including my overdraft, as he was ostensibly going to deactivate my online banking and cancel my card. Then, he suggested I convert my pounds into euros and then back to pounds, using a virtual multi-currency Revolut pro card. At one point, he had me verify my identity via a tinyurl link, and as the money began to leave my account, he assured me it would be refunded, explaining that it was a method to trace the scammers. He even provided me with a reference number for the so-called fraud case and promised a follow-up call before 6pm the following day. When that call never came, I decided to ring the bank the next morning, only to discover it was all a scam. The transactions had gone through my Revolut account, so I had to reach out to them for reimbursement. Thankfully, NatWest did manage to change my cards and online banking details, and I remain hopeful everything will turn out alright. However, reaching out to Revolut was a nightmare. Their customer service is quite poor; I had to navigate through multiple people on an online chat since they don't offer a phone line for fraud issues, which is quite essential for a bank. The whole ordeal was incredibly stressful, and now I'm left uncertain about getting my money back. They’ve told me it could take up to two months for a response, meaning I’m stuck paying off my entire overdraft while trying to rebuild my funds.NatWestRevolut3 yearsI got a call from someone saying there was suspicious activity on my bank account and they wanted me to log in and share a code with them to sort it out. I checked the number and it seemed to be from Natwest, but I wasn’t convinced. I called Natwest’s fraud department myself and they confirmed there was nothing dodgy going on with my account. So glad I didn’t give them any info!Natwest. comNatwest3 yearsSo this person rang me first from a hidden number, claiming to be from Natwest’s fraud team. I was suspicious straight away and said there’s no way they’d ring from a private number. Then they switched to this other number and told me to phone back but said the Natwest office was closed. I told them I thought it was open all day, every day. I managed to stall a bit and looked up the number online, which led me to this site. They sounded pretty convincing but luckily, I didn’t fall for it. Proper shame, these fraudsters really go to lengths.NatwestFraud Protection3 yearsI got a few calls from a number pretending to be NatWest. Two of them showed up with no caller ID, and the other two came from the same number - seemed like the same person each time.NatWest3 yearsHad a call about odd activity on my bank account, they seemed to have loads of my info. After I told them I hadn't made those transactions, they offered to cancel my card. Then they even helped me with the “get cash” feature on the NatWest App. Seemed really clever but it's definitely a SCAM. Make sure you report it and help stop these lot!NatWest3 yearsI got a call from a number that NatWest Business Banking later confirmed was legit. It was about some questions the Business Profile Review Team had, so I answered to clear up any worries about fraud on my account.NatWest BankBusiness BankingBusiness Profile Review Team3 yearsI got two calls from 01612505715 and on the voicemail, they told me to ring back on 03450090001. They said they were from NatWest bank, but it seemed a bit dodgy to me.NatWest3 yearsGot a voicemail from someone saying they were NatWest, but we don’t have any accounts with them. They even called my husband by the wrong name, so it’s obvious it’s a dodgy call. Today, the same number rang again, but we just ignored it. Better be safe than sorry with these sorts of calls.NatWest3 yearsI got a call from a very polite woman with an Asian accent who actually knew my husband’s lengthy middle names. She said she had some questions about our business review. She called back at the time she mentioned, but I didn’t pick up. The incoming number was 01612505715, but the voicemail she left told me to call 03450090001 and give reference 744486. I looked up that 0345 number online and the first couple of results made it look legit, but then I stumbled on this site and I’m convinced it’s a scam. Be careful out there!4 yearsIt was pretty clear this was a scam, so I simply ended the call.4 yearsSomeone rang me saying they were from Natwest, wanting to check my business account details. They already had both my business and personal names, which was a bit unsettling. The call came from an 0161 number, but when I said I wasn’t interested, they gave me a different 0345 number to ring back. It just felt really dodgy to me, like a classic scam.Natwest4 yearsThis number supposedly belongs to NatWest, but I reckon it’s been taken over by scammers. I know NatWest wouldn't be making calls from here, so when I got a ring, I just ignored it and put them on my block list.NatWest4 yearsSomeone said they were Lucas Millder from Natwest Fraud Team and first rang me from a private number, then used this one to 'confirm' their identity before calling again privately. They said my account was at risk and tried to trick me into using the 'get cash' feature on the Natwest app, asking for the code. When I didn't answer properly, they just cut the call.NatWest Fraud TeamLucas MillerNatWest4 yearsI was recently informed that I needed to complete my business profile by a certain deadline, or they’d go ahead and suspend my account. The kicker? They didn’t even have my proper business name! I chose not to ring them back-definitely seems like a dodgy scheme to me.4 yearsThis number has left me two voicemails so far. The first sounded like it was for someone I’ve never heard of, asking about some form to fill out, so I figured it was a mistake. The second message was really unclear and I couldn’t make out what they were saying. I didn’t call back either time.4 yearsTotal scam alert! Got a call from a private number claiming to be Natwest and then they rang me back on this number to "verify" who they were, saying there was some suspicious stuff on my account. They even went through the details, sounded pretty legit at first. But then they wanted me to use the "get money" feature and share the code - which the app itself warns you NEVER to give out! Told them I wasn’t comfortable and it all felt fishy, then they just hung up. Really believable, so watch out and don’t fall for it!NatWest4 yearsTotal scam alert! Got a call from someone claiming to be NatWest on a private line, then they rang me back on this number to 'verify' who they were. They told me there was dodgy activity on my account and even listed some supposed transactions - sounded really legit at first. But then they asked me to use the 'get money' feature and give them the code, which the app clearly states NatWest would never ask for. I kept telling them I was uneasy and that it didn’t add up, so they finally just hung up. Be careful, it was very believable but don’t fall for it!NatWest4 yearsGot a call from a private number claiming to be from Natwest saying there was some suspicious activity on my account. They even rang back from a different number to “verify” who they were, listing charges that sounded legit. Everything seemed spot on till they asked me to enter a code on the ‘get money’ option in the app - which the bank's app clearly states they won’t ask for! I kept telling them I was uneasy and it didn’t add up, then they just hung up. Properly believable scam though, so watch out and don’t fall for it.Natwest4 yearsAbsolute nuisance! I’ve had it verified by NatWest themselves. I received a remarkably convincing call from someone claiming to be from 'NatWest' on a withheld number, who then rang back on this number to 'authenticate' their identity. They went through a list of transactions, sounding incredibly genuine until they requested that I use the 'get money' feature and supply them with the code (which the app explicitly states that the bank would never ask for!). The caller abruptly disconnected once I expressed my discomfort and confusion. They were quite persuasive, though. Don't fall for it!NatWest4 yearsSomeone said they were from NatWest, but as soon as I asked why they were calling, they just ended the call.NatWest4 yearsI received a call from this number, which purported to be from NatWest about my business profile. They were asking for additional details, threatening to suspend my business account if I didn’t comply. The number was almost identical to their official contact, save for the last digit, which could easily mislead others into thinking it's genuine. I chose not to engage, especially since they were inquiring about individuals I’ve never heard of.NatWestSubmit Your Own Report (0345 009 0001)
