I just got two missed calls from a strange non-geographic number, about ten mins apart. If anyone's trying to reach me, please send me a message first saying who you are, why you want to call, and what number you’re calling from. If it sounds legit, I might arrange to take your call or get back to you once I’m sure the number’s genuine.

Claimed to be offering a complimentary account benefit for loyal clients! When I inquired about her location, she mentioned she was in the UK but had a distinct Indian accent. Then she suspiciously asked for the name on my account. Total scam!

Received a call earlier today promoting some sort of discount. I've since blocked his number, as I can say with certainty that it wasn’t from O2. In fact, O2 had already cautioned me about this, insisting that the code he was after must never be shared with anyone.

Got a call from a bloke with a very thick Indian accent, barely made out what he was saying. Claimed he was from 02 and was trying to sell me something. I told him, if I wanted to talk to 02, I'd call them myself and then ended the call. They rang back a couple more times, but I've blocked the number now.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with O2, stating they had a discount code to send me via text. The message header did indeed mention O2. However, the chap on the line had a pronounced Indian accent and was definitely in a call centre. When he asked me to confirm my number, I feigned confusion, which seemed to irritate him rather quickly. I decided to end the call at that point.

Had a call from someone claiming I could get 40% off my O2 airtime. They sent me a six-digit number and asked me to read it back, then tried to get my password as well. I told this Indian guy straight up that I wasn’t sharing any of my personal info over the phone. He kept insisting on it, but when I said no way, he just ended the call. Definitely a scam, watch out!

I received a call from someone masquerading as O2, but they hung up the moment I mentioned I wasn't one of their customers. It's disheartening to see individuals from India participating in such fraudulent activities, casting a shadow on their country's reputation.

Got a call from a woman with a really strong Indian accent pretending she was from O2. She said I could get 40% off and sent me a six-digit code via text. Then she wanted me to say the code out loud - definitely sounded dodgy to me!

Beware of this number, as they'll ring you up claiming to provide an O2 loyalty discount. They'll follow up with a text containing an authentication code, which they then use to gain entry to your O2 account. From there, they can place orders for gadgets and rack up charges on your bill. This is nothing short of a scam. Take heed! O2 is aware and trying to put a stop to it, though they haven’t succeeded just yet.

I've come across a dodgy caller purporting to provide some sort of discount, but really, they're just fishing for my personal details. Best to steer clear!

Claimed to be from O2, but I sensed something wasn’t right and hung up on them.
