Got two calls from this number today. It’s IMFS/Collections Direct (UK), saying I owe money to British Gas, but I’ve never had any bills from them. I’m not even with British Gas! Rang British Gas to complain, and they admitted the debt should be removed, but somehow I ended up agreeing to a payment plan anyway. Still getting calls from IMFS/Collections Direct though. Proper frustrating!

I've received a couple of calls from this number claiming to be IMFS/Collections Direct (UK), supposedly regarding a debt with British Gas. The irritating part is, I've never received any bills from them, nor am I even a customer! I took the liberty of contacting British Gas to express my grievances, and the representative mentioned the debt, insisting I set up a payment plan. Despite this, I'm still getting hounded by these callers-IMFS/Collections Direct (UK). Quite the nuisance!

It seems I've received a call from what appears to be a debt collector claiming to be representing British Gas. The odd thing is, I don't even have an energy account with them, nor do I use their services at all! It's quite baffling. These individuals really ought to be looked into for their utterly unprofessional conduct. Unfortunately, it feels like there's no one who actually cares about sorting this mess out. Quite frankly, it's a disgraceful situation for such a company.

This company goes by the name of IMFS, acting as debt recovery agents for British Gas. Their tactics are quite relentless; I've found them to be rather discourteous and frequently intrusive. Should you find yourself without any ties to British Gas, I would advise you to file a complaint with OFCOM due to their persistent harassment. If you do have a balance with British Gas, it might be wise to set up some regular payments to the account details previously used for settling bills. Be prepared; they have a tendency to leave multiple messages throughout the day, and they’ll also contact you via text. It’s surprising how they can vanish for a few months, only to resurface without fail!
