They keep ringing and messaging saying they're from some debt collection company - but I haven’t got any letter through the post. Don’t debt collectors usually send letters as well?

i keep recieving messages from this firm - telling me to click on some weird link or ring a number - not sure if its legit, i’m really wary of clicking on anything like that

they keep calling and texting non stop since i signed up for an m&s credit card.

arvato working for lowell, a debt collector ive actually beat in a small claims case! told them to send letters from now on instead of phoning me.

they said they were a company working for virgin media. what really doesn’t make sense is that my partner paid them less than 12 hours before getting this dodgy text. the weird part is both phone numbers (virgin and afs) start with 033. makes you wonder what’s really going on, very confusing.

I was sent a text from this number, prompting me to visit www.myrise.com/?icd=OldrN1fh or contact 03445714280, mentioning a code B26422257. I’ve chosen to ignore both options since I don’t recognise either the number or the website, and I’m quite wary it could potentially lead to a malware attack.

Arvato Financial Services Ltd keeps ringing and texting me about utility bills for a place I haven't lived in for ages. Feels totally like a scam to me.

I've been inundated with a bill that's supposedly being handled by the debt collection agency Buchanan Clark and Wells, located at BCW House, 24 George Square, Glasgow G2 1EG. Their letter does include an email contact, but finding this site has made me a bit apprehensive. The bill references an estate agent that has never operated from this address, which is merely a ground-floor flat in a terraced block in East London. It’s addressed to “Owner Maxwell Est Agents” and claims they’re acting on behalf of Scottish Power, attempting to recoup outstanding funds. I've resided in this flat for the past two years after purchasing it from a friend of the previous owner who, unfortunately, passed away after living here for two decades. The upstairs flat, 44a, has seen a fair amount of landlord activity until recently, and is now occupied by an owner. Initially, I sent the letters back with “not known at this address” written on them. After numerous attempts, my patience wore thin and I finally opened one. The contact number listed was 0344 571 4280. When I called, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and ultimately gave up. Today, yet another letter landed on my doormat, prompting me to try calling again, but it was the same story. So, I decided to look online and stumbled upon this page. I’m rather concerned about my identity being exposed, fearing there could be a negative mark against this address. It simply doesn’t seem wise to share further specifics here given the circumstances-just referring to the letter as mentioned above.
