I got some emails supposedly from Plusnet saying I owed money and that my debt was now with EP Financial. I called Plusnet to check, and they told me it was a scam. Definitely dodgy!

I've been getting loads of calls and letters from someone claiming to represent Plusnet PLC. They refuse to say who their client is unless I hand over my personal details first. It seems really risky to me.

Got a couple of letters recently from "Financial Solutions" claiming to act for DCW Property Maintenance Services, about some fee for a mybuilder homeowner shortlist. I've never heard of it before - I live in council housing and have never owned a house or signed up for anything like that. Total scam if you ask me. The letters do look pretty authentic, which makes it all the more dodgy.

Got a letter about some money supposedly owed by my late dad. When I phoned to sort it out, they refused to say who they were or what this was about. I mentioned I’d have my lawyer get in touch with them. They just said they’d "reach out" to whoever they claimed to represent. I told them flat out I wasn’t paying anything and asked to speak to a manager but they still wouldn’t explain anything. Watch out, they seem really convincing but it feels dodgy.

EP Financial Solutions. Can’t find anything about them on Companies House, no background at all. They’ve tried to get in touch with me twice now. If I owed money or had missed payments, maybe I’d consider it, but they won’t even say who they’re working for or provide any details. Feels like a scam trying to catch someone naive, so don’t fall for it. Keep your wits about you and stay safe, don’t let yourself get tricked.

It's Arvato, an absolute bunch of crooks, if you ask me. They're acting on behalf of TalkTalk, the phone and broadband provider. I reckon it's nothing more than a scam.

Looks like a phishing attempt. People pretending to be debt collectors over a fake debt linked to some dodgy claim from Plusnet, which is owned by BT. Feels like the UK government is turning a blind eye to this kind of scam and kinda backing it.

I missed a call from a chap with a pronounced Scottish brogue. He left a message that went something like this: "Do give a ring to 0344 571 4279." This happened on the 12th of October, 2022, around half past ten in the morning. I've come across several remarks online suggesting it's linked to Virgin, yet it’s also flagged as a potential scam. I've since decided to block the number.

Arvato Debt Solutions keep ringing me up on both my landline and mobile. Don’t trust these lot, they use really annoying tactics and some kind of autodialler. I can sort my debts out myself, cheers very much, no need for their 'help'. And judging by what others have said, this is definitely a debt scam. Put this number straight on your blocklist!

It seems that arvato is attempting to collect what they claim is a debt I owe to Plusnet. However, after reaching out to Plusnet directly, it turns out that I don’t actually owe anything as I settle my bills via direct debit. This company has bombarded me with emails, texts, phone calls, and even postal letters! Feels very much like a scam to me!
