9 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were from NPower and wanted my postcode for "security reasons." I told them to jog on pretty quickly. I haven’t been an NPower customer for quite a few years now, and this wasn’t the first dodgy call I’ve had like this. I even checked with NPower using their Live Chat to see if there was any connection with a firm called Avarto. Turns out, they have no link at all. The bloke on the phone spelled out Avarto in a really shady way, so I’m convinced it’s just a scam. NPower said they’d be looking into it on their side as well.
