Got a text off Arvato with some reference number telling me to ring 0344 571 4269. I looked them up and they’re debt collectors. Thing is, I don’t owe anyone money and no one’s after me, so it’s gotta be a scam. Blocked them straight away.

Got a call outta the blue, could be legit or a total scam, either way, it’s complete rubbish. I don’t have any dents so there’s no way it’s genuine.

Got a text telling me to ring Arvato on 0334 5714269 with a reference number. Didn’t bother with it, but then got another one later that day about ‘urgent info’ and a ‘secure link’ [#]myrise[###] or to call the same number. Totally a scam and honestly, annoying as heck to get two in just one day!

I got a bunch of emails from them since May 9th. I’m only 18. The number they gave was exactly the same as this one, and the email just said that I needed to ring them. I ended up deleting it from my spam.

I chose to reply to a letter about a supposed £30 debt. I said if they could show me any proof that I actually owe that money, I’d settle it in cash. Seems like it was just another scam, and even the website host 1 and 1 seem to be involved somehow. When I said I'd only deal with them via email, I wasn’t surprised to get a phone call today. Yet another number to block, such a hassle.

Got a call and then a couple of texts from them. The reference numbers didnt match on the texts which was odd. Since my name was in the text I got a bit worried. Ive never been with Talk Talk before, so I reckon I’ll just ignore it.

They left a voicemail sayin HMRC were gonna sue me or summat, but they never said my name so I’m not even sure if it was actually for me. I tried calling the number they gave but it wasn’t real. I don’t owe HMRC anything and this had me proper stressed out, so I’m glad I found this info. Think I’ll just ignore it and hope they just leave me alone!

Arvato Financial Services are a debt collection company who will try anything to get you to pay up. Keep in mind, if you signed an agreement with, say, Talk Talk, then your contract is with them, not the collectors. That’s actually against Contract Law. Best thing is to avoid any dealings with these lot. After six years, the debt becomes statute barred (basically cancelled) - but if you get in touch with them, the six year clock resets again!

Got a letter from Arvato, based at 24 George Street, Glasgow, G2 1EG, claiming they're collecting for Talk Talk Mobile about an unpaid bill of £45.98 plus a £20 fee. They INSIST you call the premium rate number 03445714044 to settle by Debit Card. They even mention a free debt advice service. I checked with Talk Talk since I closed my account last October and owe nothing. Talk Talk said there’s no debt and it’s definitely a scam. I’ve reported this to Action Fraud with the police.

I rang TalkTalk today about this AFS text message. I ended up paying a debt I didn’t even know I had because they didn’t bother telling me by phone or email first. Got a text from AFS saying they had important info for me, with my full name and a link to ‘secure RISE’ plus a number to ring 03445714044. I phoned and it was Arvato Financial Solutions with loads of options and then put me on hold with that “your call is important” spiel. I ended up just hanging up. Deleted the message after seeing what it really was. Felt a bit fooled because it had my actual name on it. Wish I hadn’t given my number when I called back, proper annoyed now.
