I’ve decided not to answer my phone after Cabot bombarded me with calls non-stop last month. I even tried dialing 1471 and just hanging up straight away when it rang, which actually stopped the calls for a few weeks. But now it seems to have kicked off again, with the first call coming through tonight. So I’ll probably go back to just putting the phone down again. This firm has been ringing me on my home phone, even though I never share that number. They claim they’re debt collectors but I’ve got no debts at all, not even from before. Seems like a total scam to me!

This number keeps ringing non-stop, with loads of voicemails telling me to press 1. After looking into it, it looks like a debt scam. I've blocked this number plus two other ones they've tried. They call almost every day for weeks, then they stop for a bit before picking up again. They only ask for the person by their first name. Definitely feels like harassment to me.

This is the fourth separate number I’ve noted down linked to Cabot Financial/insurance/debt recovery or whatnot. I’ve called back and complained, and each time, at least three, they promised my info was “deleted from their system,” but the calls keep coming. It’s really turned into harassment now, they’re calling almost every day.

Cabot Financial are just another group of debt collectors who target people unfairly. They try to scare you into thinking you owe them cash. Honestly, the smartest move is to just ignore their calls and let them ring off. Don’t bother talking to them - they don’t have any real authority and you’re not obliged to listen or follow their demands. If you do have to respond, tell them to shove off or say you’ll report them to the Financial Conduct Authority, the Financial Ombudsman, and even the police for harassment.

This number keeps calling me, I picked up once and they just asked for a first name. When I asked who was calling, they said Cabot. I told them I don’t know anyone like that and hung up. After that, they called again loads and even left a voicemail. I’ve blocked this number and another one they keep using but they just keep on ringing me. It feels like they’re purposely hassling people.

This number is often linked to debt scammers from Cabot Financial. Best thing is to just ignore the call, block the number, or tell them where to go! No need to be scared, they’re no more powerful than your postman. We can stand up to these nasty money mongers if we stick together!

I wouldn’t pick up this number, looks like a scam to me. They just leave voicemails but I never bother returning them. If it was genuine, why wouldn’t they just call directly? Be super careful with this one!
