Got about 20 calls all dead silent, then a recording from a woman telling me, “This message was brought to you by Capquest. Please ring us back on…” followed by this very number. Proper annoying and pushy. They act like you owe money or something. Watch out, they’ll prob try and get your bank info and all. Stay clear!

It was Capquest calling me, which I think is a company that chases debts. I don’t owe anything so I don’t understand why they keep ringing my home phone over and over. It feels like harassment. I got a voicemail from a firm named Cabquest, telling me to ring them back. I’ve flagged this number with the Information Commissioner’s Office as they deal with punishing illegal or annoying cold calls. Honestly, it’s worth filing a complaint yourself - the form doesn’t take long and it might stop you wasting time dealing with fake calls.

I've been getting calls from some Capquest debt people for the old owner of this number - who hasn't lived here for like a decade. Then out of nowhere, I started receiving loads of texts insisting that someone else - with a completely different name - contact them about some “private issues.” Seeing as the number’s quite new, just a couple months old, this isn’t exactly a scam but still pretty annoying and feels like harassment to me. Got a call earlier where the person wanted to speak to someone specific, saying it was something private. Wouldn't tell me their name or what company they were from, and when I asked for a department, they just shut down. I told them it sounded dodgy and ended the call. So, I got a call from a number linked to something called Capcrest, looks like they might be after debts or summat. According to Google, the company in the UK is no longer active. Got loads of calls from Capquest debt collectors, they ring me from a mobile 0771807752 and also from a landline with the 01252 area code. There's another number from somewhere in Wales, might be Carmarthen with 01265 or similar. I just leave it, never answer since I don't know the numbers and don't want to get stuck on the phone with them.
