They go by the name Capquest and keep bugging me about some student loan debt that's totally made up. How can I be so sure? When I was at university, all funding came as grants, which you don’t have to pay back. I got really worried though, so I looked up the official student loans contact on the government site and gave them a ring. They told me straight up it’s a scam!

Strangely, my phone never actually rang and just dropped straight to voicemail. The message was from some company named Cat Quest, saying they might get in touch again later but asked me to ring them back today. Bit odd, if you ask me!

Got calls from two numbers, 03339997201 and +44 7953222222, said to ring the first one back. It was proper dodgy, felt like a scam. Watch out, don't mess with these numbers. Some mention debt collectors, but we ain’t got any debts, so clearly scammers. Stay safe, people!

Totally with everyone else here - these are just annoying pests. I’ve been dealing with calls from them on and off for about two weeks. I just don’t bother answering, let the voicemail deal with their recorded messages.

I keep gettin calls from this finance firm claiming I owe money which I absolutely dont. They get really rude and agressive, threatening me but never tell me what debt they’re on about. Whenever I ask for proof or to send me something in writing, they suddenly go quiet. The more nasty they act, the more I fire back - no point being polite with these muppets. One of their women kept callin every day, sounded like she had a mouthful of marbles or something. Told them straight up they’re a rubbish outfit. They hung up on me after that! Had a call from the number 01252765422, which came up as 1471. The caller sounded like they said Atpress or Adpress, something like that. I’ve had nearly the same thing happen recently with some other finance firm too. Best thing is to just not pick up or reply, they’re just after making contact.

I looked into it more and ended up flagging them to the Financial Conduct Authority (#l[#lfcal###][###1). They could easily prey on folks really struggling with debt or in a tough spot. following up on my last post, i just googled "capquest" and found out they're supposed to be a company that handles debt management. but since i don't owe anyone money, it seems like a scam to me. their website says something like: "who we are - we’re a credit solutions provider helping folks in debt get the best plan for their money issues. capquest has been around for over 25 years and claims to assist millions of clients." personally, i'd steer clear of them.

Capquest keeps ringing me up a few times every week, always at odd hours. It’s an automated call that leaves a voicemail asking me to return their call. It gets pretty annoying after a while.

I've been getting calls from this firm with a weird recorded message asking me to ring them back. Normally, I ignore unknown calls, but since I've got some furniture due to arrive, I got a bit concerned. Luckily, I found out the two numbers weren't the same. Got a call from this number on the 10th of October when I wasn’t home. The woman on the line said she’d ring me back, but now that I’ve figured out it’s just another pest call, I’m not picking up next time.

This number has been ringing me every single day for the last 10 days. Each time, it’s the same recorded message asking me to call them back. I have no clue who they are, so I’m avoiding returning the call. Could it be one of those costly Premium rate numbers?

On the evening of 30th September 2013 at about 6.07pm, I found a message on my answering machine from a woman saying Capquest had been attempting to get in touch and might call again. She mentioned we could ring them back on that number, but when I checked with 1471, the number actually came up as 01412786102.
