They go by the name Capquest and keep bugging me about some student loan debt that's totally made up. How can I be so sure? When I was at university, all funding came as grants, which you don’t have to pay back. I got really worried though, so I looked up the official student loans contact on the government site and gave them a ring. They told me straight up it’s a scam!

I completely concur with everyone else's grievances. They're a real nuisance! I’ve been inundated with calls for almost a fortnight now. I wouldn't bother answering; just allow their automated messages to connect with your voicemail instead.

I've had quite the experience with this so-called debt and finance outfit that seems to have an eye for those who are debt-free. They have a rather nasty habit of hurling threats my way, claiming I owe money without the faintest clue as to whom I supposedly owe it. I demanded they provide their claims in writing, but of course, they refused. The more rude they get, the more I feel inclined to dish it back at them - I don’t hold my tongue! I told them they were nothing but a shoddy operation, and that the lady who left messages for me every day sounded like she was speaking with a severe impediment. I had a rather similar encounter, the voice on the other end was reminiscent of adpress or atpress, but the mysterious number was 01252765422 when I dialled 1471. I've had a like experience with yet another financial institution too. It's best not to engage or reply in any fashion; that's precisely what they’re searching for!

following up on my last post, i just googled "capquest" and found out they're supposed to be a company that handles debt management. but since i don't owe anyone money, it seems like a scam to me. their website says something like: "who we are - we’re a credit solutions provider helping folks in debt get the best plan for their money issues. capquest has been around for over 25 years and claims to assist millions of clients." personally, i'd steer clear of them.

She mentioned they might try reaching out again later, though I could also return the call using the number provided. However, upon dialling 1471 to check the number, it came up as 01412786102. Quite puzzling, to say the least!
