Got a call earlier today around 4.50pm about my TV coverage apparently ending tomorrow. They were pushing me to renew it, but when I said no, they started saying I had to CANCEL it or they’d charge me for it. As far as I’m aware, I don’t even have that cover in the first place. Funny thing is, I got a call about the same thing just a couple days ago too.

On 13th March 2020, my elderly mum, who struggles with short term memory problems, got a call from a company I hadn’t heard of before. Later that day, £79.99 was withdrawn from her bank. She couldn’t remember any info about who rang her, which makes it tricky for me to figure out what happened. Now I’m stuck trying to track down the source and hopefully recover the money.

Loads of calls coming from 0333 numbers recently, no voicemail left either. Seems like those insurance ads you see on telly are behind it. Feels a bit like harassment, honestly. Best to just ignore them.

I picked up and some bloke started talking about a deal I supposedly had with Homeguard for my TV. When I asked which TV he meant, he just said it covered all my TVs. I didn’t wait around for him to say more and just ended the call straight away.

Somebody called me up saying my TV and other electrical stuff was due for an upgrade or something like that.
