I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, even if it might be important. Real people will leave a voicemail or try reaching you differently. Don’t bother calling back as it could be a trick to make you pay for returning the call. These days, they've moved on to using 0800 numbers or local landlines which make you think it’s someone you know. Our phone is unlisted but somehow they still manage to ring us! Luckily, sites like this and blocking options from our phone companies stop those nuisances on both our mobile and landline. Best just to block and move on.

Watch out for John Matthews from Llanelli, he’s a right con artist. He runs Farming Energy Solutions Limited and they keep ringing people up trying to sell ISAs, which isn’t even allowed. This bloke has been involved with loads of shady businesses before. Just a heads up!
