I received a call from an unfamiliar number today. When I picked up, it went straight to my voicemail, but there was no message left. My phone flagged it as a scam related to debt collection. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

They’ve rung me up 4 times now and each time I tell them I don’t owe anything and to remove me from their list. Today they called again, and I told them if they bother me one more time I’m going to report them. Proper irritating stuff.

I called the number back and got a recorded message saying it was EMI (or maybe TMI) Credit, who deal with debt management and claim they can clear up to 80% of what you owe. As a pensioner renting on my own and covering bills, I honestly can’t afford to pay a debt company to manage my debts, charging me a monthly fee, when I’m barely scraping by as it is.
