I told them to stop ringing me regularly but they said they’d keep calling until I answered. I warned the guy he’d get yelled at every time he rang, even suggested meeting up in person. He hung up quick smart. Complete idiots! They must’ve nicked my details from somewhere dodgy, cause they always ask for me by a nickname I don’t use. Ring me again anytime - you’ll get the same treatment over and over, no doubt about it.

The Pension Advice Service is safe, just tell them to stop calling if you dont want to hear from them and they will. They aren’t scammers, I’m a financial adviser myself and they work with the same IFAs as the government. They dont mess with your pension, they just provide an independent review to check if your pension is doing well, and this service is free.

Got a call earlier today. The person sounded pretty sincere, but I felt a bit off about it. They kept asking about if I had any private pensions and how old I am. Over the past week, I’ve gotten 29 missed calls from these lot. No messages left at all. When I ring back, it’s always about pension advice, and they seem to keep calling until they manage to speak to someone. Looks like they’re using an autodialler. The easiest way is just to answer and ask them to take your number off their list, or just block the number altogether. Honestly, better things to worry about than getting annoyed by a repeat caller. Takes less time to block it than to get worked up and even write about it!

Hey all, I got a call from this number today, a lady said she was calling about pension advice and mentioned something about the government. I told her I’m seriously ill and can’t work, then she suddenly switched to asking if I had home or life insurance. Told her my housing association deals with that, and she offered to give me a quote. That’s when I realised she wasn’t any official gov.uk person. We just ended the call after that.

Got a missed call then rang back from another number not linked to me. A lady answered and said they can help reclaim money from private pensions since interest rates have gone down, claiming there’s a legal loophole to get some money back. If you get those dead silent or dropped calls, make sure you report them to OFCOM. These scammers couldn't care less about comments here, but they freak out when OFCOM gets involved - and it only takes a few minutes to do. Also, if you haven’t signed up with the TPS, you’re basically asking for trouble. Don’t expect your phone provider to help much either, they just cash in by charging for caller ID and boost profits from call blocking services.
