4 NOV 2020 - WARNING Boiler repair 0333 5773386 rang my 90 year old mother in law about extending her boiler warranty for £190 and got her bank details. She’s got a new boiler so this was pointless. Got a letter today confirming the contract, we called them and since it was within 14 days, they said they’d cancel it! We’re double checking with the bank that the payment hasn’t gone through.

My elderly mum got caught out by Boiler Breakdown Ltd calling from this number as well. They convinced her to give her account details and sort code to pay for an extended warranty on the boiler. They then set up a direct debit and took £299.99 from her. She didn't even need the cover since her boiler is practically brand new and she already has full breakdown cover with British Gas. I've stopped the direct debit and contacted the bank, who are now checking if we can get the money back.

I had a woman ring me up saying I had to get some boiler insurance or something. When she started pushing too hard, I just hung up. Then, today I got a leaflet through the door with my "account" number and said I had to pay £239.99 by direct debit. If these people can be tracked down, they seriously need to be stopped. Got a call earlier today from a woman claiming to be "Sue". She said my boiler contract had run out and asked for card info to renew it. I know my boiler deal is with a well-known local heating firm and it’s not up for renewal until June, so it was obvious a scam. "Sue" was quite polite and sounded convincing, so gotta watch out for these types. Definitely a dodgy company. They’re also ignoring TPS rules by cold calling and breaking the law by asking for money for a non-existent contract.

Today my mum got a phone call about boiler insurance. She was a bit mixed up and kept talking without realising it was a con. I’m not someone who normally leaves comments online but this bloke Robert proper got on my nerves. He even had the cheek to call me an idiot for not getting boiler warranties. He didn’t know a thing about my boiler, only gave a name and address which you can find anywhere these days. Wanted to charge me £199.98 for a year's cover, and that was after some discount for over 60s. This bloke was really pushy and full of himself, going on about how my boiler’s warranty had ended and pushing me to renew it. Bit odd cos the boiler’s been around for about a decade, so there’s no way the warranty is still valid. He kept pushing the same line, so I told him to shove off and ended the call. I've been dealing with the same nonsense... They ring my mother several times each week. Definitely a boiler room scam. They’re after her bank information. It’s baffling that this number hasn’t been dealt with by the likes of TPS and the others! Looks like it’s been running for ages now. I’ve resorted to using BT Call Protect to keep them at bay (it’s a free service, but you’ve got to keep an eye on it and manually blacklist the numbers).

My mum gets calls from them like twice or three times every week. They claim it's about some boiler warranty, probably hoping folks will be fooled as the weather gets chillier. But really, they're after her bank info - total scam! This has been going on forever, so I don't get why TPS hasn't blocked them yet??? Keep clear of these dodgy calls!

Got loads of calls from some bloke saying my boiler needs its yearly check up. Told him we don't even have gas at our place, we're miles out on a farm with no gas nearby. But he just kept going and wanted to talk to my husband, like I wouldn’t know about the gas supply because I’m a woman. Proper rude and so sexist!

A bloke named Joseph rang my mum who’s elderly, saying her boiler warranty was about to expire. He seemed to know quite a bit already and mentioned she’d receive documents for a plan she definitely doesn’t want. I’m convinced it’s a scam. I’ve told her bank to block any payments. Since she’s signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, I’ll be reporting this illegal call to them.

Blimey, now there’s green comments popping up singing praises about them. Funny how no one’s dropping the name, their actual address, or any legit website about this so-called company, eh? Seems like the muppets behind the calls are the ones leaving those green comments, but we ain’t falling for it.

Got a call today about boiler insurance for my elderly mother-in-law. They asked for her bank info to sort out payment, but she lives in a block where the firm manages all the heating. Even tho she said no, they sounded pretty tricky. Definitely feels like a scam, so heads up everyone!

Got a call from 03335773386 today 18/10/17 claiming my boiler warranty had just expired and they needed my bank details, sort code and Policy number to renew it. They already had my name, address and age. I told them I didn’t have a Policy and refused to share any bank info over the phone. They got a bit annoyed, insisting I must have a Policy and they couldn’t extend it without my details. They threatened to cancel the Policy, so I said “go ahead and cancel” and ended the call.

Got a call from 03335773386 earlier today. I told them I don’t have a boiler, they then claimed it must be my immersion heater. I told them I don’t own one of those either. When I asked for their name, they just hung up on me.

They called my old father-in-law a couple of times and kept pushing him to have his boiler checked by them, even though he explained his wife was in hospital.

My grandad is 76 and they've rung us two times in the past 30 minutes, but as soon as we pick up, they just drop the call. It’s really worrying for my grandad and I’ve heard from others that they might be trying to scam older folks. Honestly, just don’t waste your time with this number. It’s basically harassment and could be harmful if elderly people aren’t aware of what’s going on.

My mum got a call about some boiler insurance, she said she wasn’t interested and ended the call right away. Then the same number rang back straight away, and when my mum mentioned both her boys are plumbers, the person on the other end got quite cheeky. She hung up again. They phoned once more after that but by then my folks just ignored it.

Got a call earlier, some lady told me my boiler warranty was nearly up. When I asked how long the guarantee actually lasted, she gave me a weird answer, something like 6 months to 20 years?! Then I asked what brand my boiler was, she said Bosch. I told her I don't even own a Bosch boiler, so how could it have a 20 year warranty? She just hung up on me. Absolutely pointless and a total load of nonsense.
