Claiming to be Severn Trent. Tried calling what I thought was Severn Trent customer care but they said they had no idea who these people are. They said if they’re planning a house call, they’ll send a letter first. Severn Trent customer service told me they’re looking into it. The number 03335771122 seems to be from outside the UK as it’s not linked to any UK town or city. THAT ALONE MAKES IT VERY SUSPICIOUS. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS BEFORE LETTING ANYONE INTO YOUR HOME. THANKS.

I didn’t pick up this call but a few weeks back Severn Trent did ring this number about an alarm going off on our water meter. Two engineers came over, driving vans with Severn Trent logos and carrying proper ID. Turns out we had a leaky toilet cistern. They also gave us a free shower head and a couple of filters for our taps. I had two other people in the house at the time and I stayed close to keep an eye on them, so I’m pretty sure they were legit and not scammers.

Definitely a scam! I got a call claiming there was an alarm on my water meter and they’d send someone to inspect my taps and toilets. Seems really dodgy to me. I’ve got no leaks anywhere - taps, pipes, heating or toilets all fine. My meter reading hasn’t changed at all. I spoke to Severn Trent and they said it wasn’t them and told me to report it to the police right away!

Got a call twice this week from the same number. Didn’t pick up first time but rang back. Turns out it was Severn Trent about a leak alert. Sounds legit since the pipe to the fish pond was left running. Scheduled a bloke to come check it out tomorrow. They were really polite and easy to deal with. Definitely not a dodgy number.

I had a great experience with Severn Trent Water, the technician gave loads of useful tips and even free stuff to help cut down my water and energy bills. The lady on the phone knew her stuff and explained everything clearly without being pushy. She said I could look into it myself if I wanted, which I did. Then I booked my appointment easily through their website, no pressure at all. Really impressed with the whole service, well done Severn Trent for this great programme!

Got a call from Severn Trent Water about a free water efficiency assessment. Was a bit doubtful at the beginning but the woman I spoke to was really nice and clear about why they were ringing. Sorted an appointment and ended up with some free tap fittings and a new gadget for my loo. The shower timers aren’t really that handy but since they’re free, no complaints here. It’s actually helped me cut down on my water bill like they promised. Proper glad I picked up and I’d say everyone should do the same.

Got a missed call from a number saying it was Severn Trent Water, so I looked it up here as I was a bit iffy. After reading what others said, the woman called me back and went through everything listed on the site. I checked the website myself and felt okay about booking the appointment. Got a call from 03335771122 to my 96-year-old mum. The woman on the line said she was from Severn Trent Water and wanted to check the pipes in the bathroom upstairs. Mum said that wasn’t possible and told her to ring back later so my son could speak to them. The caller replied, “in two weeks then” and hung up. My mum’s very careful and always rings me if anyone she doesn’t know calls, plus she never opens the door to strangers.
