Got two calls from this number in less than a day. Feels like if you press to confirm whether you’re the person they mention (they said Sean Pickens to me), you might end up with extra charges on your phone bill for "responding"! Best thing is just to hang up straight away, then report it to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can go to their website at https://ico.org.uk and hit the orange REPORT A CONCERN button to tell them about the scam. It’s super easy to file a complaint, and if enough people report it, the caller could face serious consequences.

Lowell are a bunch of cheats, buying debt for next to nothing then trying to get you to pay with a measly 10% off. When the original collectors stop hassling you, they hand you over to these nasty people who never leave you alone. Best thing is just to ignore all their calls and letters, that’s what I do.

I picked up an automated call from the number 03335565516, and they were inquiring about someone named "John Macintosh." They instructed that if this wasn’t me, I should press 2, which I did, thinking that would put an end to it. However, it seems my efforts were in vain, as the very same recorded message came through again just two days later. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

On 9th June 2017, about 2.20pm, my home landline rang, but like I always do, I didn’t pick up and let the answerphone take the call. If it was someone legit, other than friends or family, they’d leave a message anyway. But this caller hung up right when the answerphone said, “I’m not available, please leave a message after the beep.” The call ended halfway through that message. I then checked the number using BT’s 1471 service, and it showed the caller was 0333 556 5516. Since I know nothing to do with that number, I figured it was a scam call for sure and marked it as dangerous.
