If they couldn’t get payment, chances are no one else will either. Honestly, it’s just a bit of a nuisance, but legally they can’t force you to pay, so there’s no need to stress about it.

Now, I've had calls from someone speaking with a thick Asian accent, mumbling the company name before asking for Mrs Margaret McColl. I looked up the numbers, and it turns out they belong to Lowells, a company that deals with debt collection. My advice? Don’t bother talking to them - just end the call straight away.

I’ve been getting calls from them all hours, it’s proper irritating. They keep asking for loads of different names, none of which have anything to do with me. My phone number’s only just been given to me, so I have no idea how they even got hold of it. Do NOT return their calls - it’ll cost you an absolute fortune. Telling them to take your number off their list doesn’t work either. Something seriously needs to be done about this, the authorities should step in quicker than this dragging-on for a month. These lot are well dodgy and pretty scary, even though they’re asking for people I don’t recognise at all. Someone might end up doing something rash if this keeps up.

I've been getting calls from these lot for over five years now, always looking for some guy named Paul - can't recall the last name. Problem is, I don't know anyone by that name. I've told them countless times to take my number off their lists, and they assure me they will, but here I am, still getting bothered. They ring me multiple times a day, starting as early as 8 in the morning and sometimes as late as 10 at night, every single day, even on holidays like Boxing Day. It’s crazy because I've made it clear plenty of times that Paul has nothing to do with me or my family. To me, that’s just relentless pestering and borderline harassment.

I use call guardian which makes callers say who they are before the call can go through, so if they don’t say anything, they get blocked. This morning at 10.09 a number tried but never announced themselves, so it didn’t get through. The number’s still on my phone record though. Problem fixed!
