These folks are total scammers and caused us a heap of problems. Not exactly sure how it kicked off, but I think it began with my mobile phone. Then they attempted to pretend to be me when dealing with my credit card provider, luckily that didn’t work out. They also managed to lock me out of my email account. How they pulled it off is a bit of a mystery, but the fraud team at my credit card firm mentioned there’s loads of these crooks about. They didn’t manage to steal anything from me, but they’re still a serious threat - stay cautious out there.

I’ve been picking up and muting the call so they don’t know I’m there, they usually hang up pretty quick. Got called 3 times while I was at work today, gonna block the number once I finish this comment.

Someone called saying I’d won some sort of contest, but I knew it was rubbish, so I decided to mess with them a bit. They asked for my bank info, and I said I’m at work and don’t carry my wallet. After that, they insisted I dig through the bottom of my bag to find an old shopping receipt with my bank details on it. That’s when I just ended the call and blocked the number.
