Got a call from this number and when I didn’t share any personal details, the person on the other end just shouted “F*CK YOU!” and cut the call. Definitely blocked and reported now.

I got a call from some bloke called Maddy Mason claiming he worked for Debt Support. He was really pressing me to sign up for an IVA and even asked for loads of personal info via WhatsApp. I wasn’t convinced, so I ringed up Step Change directly, and they told me flat out they wouldn’t ask for anything like that. They also sent me an email confirming it was a scam. If you want to block him too, his WhatsApp number is ‪+44 7537 158430‬.

Got a call about life insurance. I was in the middle of updating my policy when they suddenly asked for my bank info. I told them I wasn’t comfortable sharing that, but they started going on about it being just like paying for something online and that it was to set up a new payment plan. I ended the call immediately and blocked their number.

A bloke rang saying he was from Aviva checking over my life insurance, but I’m with a completely different firm. I asked him straight if he really worked for Aviva and he stuttered a bit then repeated the same line. When I pressed again, he said he was actually from Serenity. I told him straight that he must be either a broker or trying to scam me for my info, and he just went quiet and then hung up. I’ve blocked the number now but these calls have been happening for weeks, always with the same script and a different caller ID every single time.
