I received a call from someone claiming they could enhance my O2 contract, mentioning my loyalty as a customer. I can’t shake off the feeling that it might be a scam.

For the last month, this number has been ringing my home phone constantly, no matter the hour. Eventually, I picked up and the person on the line said they were from O2 customer support. They asked how I found their service and tried to tempt me with a complimentary upgrade for being a valued customer. Thing is, O2 doesn’t provide landlines, so I’m guessing they meant my mobile? Problem is, I don’t even have any service with O2. When I told the rep this, she just hung up - sounded like she had an Indian accent too. Proper dodgy.
