Picked up the phone, said hello and could hear a busy call centre noise in the back. Had to be the one to say "hello" first. Then the person asks "Is this ***** (my name)?" I said yes and all I got was a "Hmm" before they just cut me off! Instant block. Not just a shady company, feels like they've hired goblins or something!

This number has been ringing me loads this week. It's always the same bloke saying he's from Aviva about my life insurance, but I don't even have one with them. When I called him out on it, he just ended the call. He's kept trying the same trick a few more times though. I just played along, and each time he cut me off. I've blocked it now.

Looks like an insurance scam to me. All these dodgy calls, texts and numbers really need to be reported to the cops so they can keep track of whats happening. The police havent got a clue at the moment coz hardly anyone reports them. Thats exactly what scammers want. Just search for 'action fraud' on Google and visit the UK police website. Then find the phishing report section and scroll down to the bottom to file a report.

*****SCAM***** Got a call claiming to be from Zurich life insurance. They rang me at 09:53 and again at 11:51. First time I answered, I said my husband handles this stuff. Second time, I told them I already spoke to someone else from their lot and didn’t want to share more. They kept trying to get info but I just refused and put the phone down. Blocked the number but I’m sure they’ve got loads of others ready to ring from different landlines.

Someone rang me claiming to be from the NHS website, trying to scam me by asking for my card info. They said they’d make a purchase through PayPal. The name they gave was James, and they mentioned Per Vape Street, BB1 3AE, UK. Really suspicious call!

I got a call from someone named Linda Williams who said she was with BT tech support. She told me to get on my computer so she could 'fix' it to stop any hacking. But when I checked, her employee ID wasn’t listed with BT, and I never got any prior contact from their tech team. Sounds like a total scam to me.
