Whenever I get calls like that, I hand the phone to my 2 and a half year old son and say it's a friend on the line, so he should chat. Watching him try to talk to those callers is hilarious - he just makes up baby babble and weird sounds. Usually they just get confused and hang up, which always cracks me up.

So, Octopus Energy rang me earlier today. I asked them for a quote and told them to give me a ring later so I could check out their company since I’d never heard of them before. They were really understanding about me being cautious. In the end, I signed up for £56.10 a month, which is way better than the £76 I was paying with British Gas. They’re sorting out the switch for me now.
