I recently encountered a rather dubious loan offer that claimed I wouldn’t require a guarantor or face any credit checks. They were quite insistent that I pay £150 as my initial repayment immediately. I even ended up sharing my bank details - sort code and account number - but I had yet to consent to any payment. The moment they started pushing for an upfront fee, my instincts screamed 'scam!' It was all very fishy and definitely raised a lot of red flags.

They pretend to provide you with a loan, but then they request that you pay the initial instalment before you actually receive any funds. It's clearly a con-steer clear of these people! They had access to all my personal information, including my banking details.
