An Indian chap was on the line, insisting that I requested a callback, which I most certainly did not. He went on about wanting to upgrade my O2 account and needed to verify my bank details. It was utterly preposterous! Just to clarify, I’m actually with Tesco Mobile. These blokes are definitely up to no good; nothing but a bunch of con artists! To the elderly in our community, please, for the love of all that's good, do NOT share your banking information with these scammers - they’ll take you for everything you’ve got. I received two calls from this number in less than an hour! They were attempting to persuade me to sign up for an O2 monthly SIM. The thing is, I’ve just renewed my contracts with a different provider, so I kindly declined. Yet, they rang me again about the same offer! To my astonishment, the caller had the audacity to suggest I take out a second line, which I already possess. It’s left me utterly incensed! I truly wish we could bid farewell to telesales for good.
