Had a rather dubious phone call this morning from someone claiming to be with an American firm - a chap by the name of Sam Elliot, if you can believe it. He insisted they were trying to refund me £299 that I forked out last year for something that never materialised. He kept going on about needing me to hop onto my computer to confirm my details, but I chose to ignore his request. I don't utilise online banking, so that wasn't happening. Just a word of caution: be on your guard if you receive a call like this!
