This number is definitely a scam. I got a message from 07708 603429 claiming to be from Coop Visa saying they blocked a payment of £2,350 made by someone called Shuzaib Jaffar. They asked me to ring this number if it wasn’t me.

Beware of this number, as it purports to be affiliated with Vodafone. I say "purports" because they are, in reality, con artists whose sole aim is to fleece you of your cash. Got a call and it really spooked me because the person on the phone already knew my name. I asked to speak to their manager, who said her name was Rupal - not sure if that’s true though. I told them to send me all my personal info under GDPR rules. They asked if I wanted to give them my email, so I did. It's been like 5 days now and still nothing from them. Feels like a definite scam to me.

I got a few calls from these lot and finally picked up after they rang several times. Turns out, they’re a legitimate outsourced team working for Vodafone. Basically, they do the groundwork for Vodafone and are actually on their payroll. They offer deals for mobiles, and I think broadband and landlines too, then transfer you to Vodafone’s proper sales team if you’re interested. The bloke I spoke to admitted they do cold calls using data that isn’t always accurate. I was already with Vodafone, so as a sole trader I was curious what they were about. Eventually, after being passed over, they already had all my real account info and managed to land me a decent business tariff deal.
