I kinda suspected it was dodgy from the start, but they mentioned my name and said I’d recently ordered a couple of O2 SIM cards. When I asked them to verify my full name and the address the SIMs were sent to, they just dodged the question and started chatting about better deals. That’s when I ended the call! I reckon this sort of thing could easily fool someone, especially if they have actually bought new SIM cards lately.

Got called by 02 scammers who must’ve been tipped off about my SIM card order. They were pretending to offer a better deal! When I rang the number back, it just went straight to some suspicious O2 voicemail with a couple of choices - definitely no way that’s the legit 02 line so quickly πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ . Seriously, these scammers must have hacked into O2’s system or something, crazy how they know when you order a SIM. That’s some next-level breach right there.

Got a call from someone pretending to be O2, which felt dodgy right from the start. The strangest thing though was he mentioned that I’d just got an O2 pay as you go SIM through the post. I’ve literally just spent ages on the phone with the genuine O2 sorting out switching my contract to pay as you go while keeping my existing number, so lucky me that I’d already been talking to the real O2 before this sketchy call. But seriously, how do these scammers even find out that O2 sent me a SIM? It’s proper creepy.

Really dodgy call, this person said they were from O2 but I knew something was off. I asked who they were and they said Joe from O2, but when I called the actual O2, they told me it was a scam and to be careful. Definitely something to watch out for!

Got a call from someone claiming to be at O2, kept insisting on my information. When I tried to hang up, he just kept ringing again and again. Had to ignore the phone completely. Total scam, definitely dodgy!

Got a call the other day about checking out some life insurance options.

I never got the name of the company that kept ringing me up. They were supposedly helping with a life insurance review but couldn’t even say who my current provider was. They kept calling me over and over for about a week. When I politely asked them to stop contacting me, they actually threatened to call even more if I didn’t go through with the review. Really pushy and annoying!
