Give my insurance a go. They keep ringing me despite me blocking their number, then show up with another 0333 number. Told them I’m onto their scam but they just don’t stop.

Some of the posts after that add more useful details. If you don’t actually report these scams to the fraud authorities, don’t hold your breath for anything to get done about them. Scammers definitely prefer you to stay in the dark about this.

Every scam call or text should be reported straight away to the cyber crime unit designed to make it simple for everyday people to report any kind of fraud, whether by phone, text, email or whatever. My MP advised me to do this after I complained about the constant scam calls I was receiving. If you look a few posts below this one, you’ll find info on how to report. Scammers definitely don’t want us to share this info. If you don’t bother reporting them, don’t be surprised if nothing changes.

Got a call from some bogus firm calling themselves “compare my policy”. Proper pushy, like a cold call trying to sneak info out about life insurance. Definitely felt like they were fishing for my personal stuff.

As soon as I picked up, they already called me by my name and talked about "comparing my insurance policy." I asked them how they got my number and they said it could be from cookies on a site I've visited. When I told them I wasn’t interested in talking anymore, they just hung up.

I got a call from Charlotte at Money Savvy and it seemed pretty genuine. I even phoned the real company afterwards and turns out it’s a marketing firm calling for them.

Got a dodgy call probably a scam - I’ve blocked the number already.

I didn’t pick up and they ended up leaving a voicemail saying they were from Compare My Policy regarding my insurance. Clearly just a sales pitch trying to make me switch since I’ve never dealt with them before. Just a telemarketer. Blocked straight away.

Some bloke called Howard said he was from Legal & General, but I’ve got no link to them. Just ended the call and blocked the number.

Total scam, no doubt. They started chatting about updating my life insurance policy, which I don’t even have. What freaked me out was how they already knew my age and that I work solo from home. I cut the call right away. Watch out, folks!
