I've just received a text claiming to be from HSBC, notifying me about some dodgy transaction involving my debit card for an Apple gadget. Definitely a scam!

Just got a message saying I’d been charged £1749 by the Apple online shop. I’m with HSBC so it really freaked me out. I looked up the proper fraud team for Apple and rang them. Turns out it’s a scam and if you tap on the link, it might let them take money from your account! Watch out for this one.

Got a message exactly like everyone else. I rang back and asked who I was talking to but the woman on the other line just ended the call.

I looked up this number after seeing loads of reviews and it’s the usual: HSBC apparently say your debit card got charged £1749 at the Apple online shop. If that’s not you, they want you to ring their fraud team straight away on 03333441590. Bit odd tho cos I don’t even have an account with them. Def watch out for this one!

Just like some others, I got a text supposedly from HSBE saying my card was used at an Apple store for £1749 and that I needed to call them straight away. It felt off, especially since I haven’t had a HSBC account in ages! Definitely a dodgy scam.

I asked them to prove who they were by telling me my account number, something they ought to have known, and then they just cut the call straight away.

My sister got a message about buying an Apple product online for £1749. She called HSBC straight away and they said it was definitely a scam. Don't bother replying to it!

When I rang the number, it all sounded really legit at first. But then I started to feel uneasy, so I decided to pop into a branch to double-check. Turns out, it was a scam and I almost got my account cleaned out. Watch out for this one!

The call felt a bit off right from the start, especially since there was no noise in the background. The lady who answered seemed unsure, like she wasn’t quite sure what to say next. I decided to cut the call short and got in touch with HSBC to let them know.

I got a message saying my debit card was used online from "hsbc" with a number to call. I rang hsbc myself to check and they said there was no fraud and the number didn’t match theirs at all. Watch out for this kind of thing!
