I got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank saying they had the last three digits of my account number and someone was trying to withdraw money. I looked at my account and everything seemed normal, so I just hung up. Then I phoned my bank directly and they told me they’d never ring about stuff like that and if anything was wrong, they'd just freeze the account. So yeah, I definitely did the right thing by putting the phone down straight away.

Just got one of the funniest cold calls ever - this American woman, who sounded like a robot, left me a message saying I was being sued by HMRC and that my house was being watched. I couldn’t even hear the whole thing because I ended up laughing so much halfway through. Absolutely ridiculous!
