I didn’t pick up, but the only place they could’ve got my number from is the Government’s Covid tracing app. The only folks I gave my number to was when I flew back into the UK. Just goes to show why test and trace isn’t effective here when numbers get shared or leaked about.

Don’t feel safe just coz it shows up as an O2 marketing number. It might’ve been an O2 line once, or still could be, but these numbers can be spoofed super easily, like on the news. So even if it’s an O2 number, you shouldn’t give out any info, especially bank details. If O2 really had a better deal, they’d tell you if you rang their official number you know is legit.
