If you get texts from these numbers, be sure to send them straight to 7726 so the proper officials can handle it. Just search 7726 on Google for all the info. People ringing from these types of numbers are on serious thin ice. These gangs aren't just good at draining your accounts anymore, they've started using AI to mimic your voice. They're getting clever with this voice cloning stuff. Look up 'voice cloning scams' and 'saying yes scams' online to get a better idea of this new AI trick and how to stay safe.

Got a message saying a new direct debit was set up today and they'd take £399.99 tomorrow 20/04/2026. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds. Pretty sure it’s just some scam trying to get me to call them!

Received a text from someone pretending to be Lloyds Bank saying a new direct debit charge of £319.99 was set up. Was a total scam. Don’t ring the number they include in the message, it’s fake. If you need to check anything, always use the contact info on the official Lloyds website. Lloyds also recommend forwarding dodgy messages to 7726 for them to investigate.

Got a message claiming to be from my bank saying there was a £439.49 payment to NSPPC on my account. They told me to call 03333398653 if I hadn’t made it. Pretty clear it’s a scam. Just be careful and make sure you let elderly family or mates know about this kind of thing.
