This is just another one of those mobile network retention calls! If this number keeps buzzing your phone, there’s a few ways to deal with it: You might block the number, but they often change it up. A good move is to pick up and nicely ask them to take you off their call list - normally that’s enough to make it stop. If they keep calling after that, you can sign up for the (FREE) Telephone Preference Service to block calls like this. Alternatively, you could make an official complaint, and the company might get fined. Just look it up online or check out Citizens Advice for more info :)

Yesterday, I asked for a PAC code and finally escaped those scammers. Since then, they’ve sent me three texts trying to get me to change my mind, but it’s far too late - I’m not having any of it.

I didn’t pick up, but I looked up the number and yep, it’s definitely Three ringing to try and keep me as a customer. I actually popped into a Three shop before making up my mind about switching, hoping for a better offer, but nothing came through. So I asked for my PAC instead. Now I’m getting texts, emails and even phone calls from them. I’ll just block the number at this point. The new provider I’m considering even found it funny when I said I was still with Three! Been with them for more than 9 years but I think it’s about time I moved on.

I didn’t pick up the call, but just like a lot of people I asked for my pac code from 3 the day before. Loads of us are leaving cos their prices are just too high now. I’ve stuck with them for ages, but they don’t seem to care about loyal customers anymore. Ended up switching to a much better offer somewhere else.

Same here, I’ve had loads of calls after asking for my PAC code. If they’d given me a decent offer before, I might’ve stayed put. Their navigation system is rubbish and the staff give conflicting info. I’ve told at least three different people the same thing, yet the calls just won’t stop!!! Honestly, it’s way too late now!!!

Got a call from 3 right after asking for my PAC code. They actually gave me a sweeter deal than the ones I was 'offered' once my contract ended - same amount of data, calls, and texts, but with roaming thrown in for cheaper than what I was paying before. Certainly no scam - they sent me all the paperwork and contract details straight away.

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent claiming it was urgent and about my Three contract. He kept saying how important it was. Since I’d cancelled my deal with Three just the day before, got my PAC, and started a new one at a different provider, I thought it was dodgy. Every time I asked why, all I got was repetition. Doesn’t Three know some folks, especially older ones, get really worried by calls like this?

Seems like it was Three's support poppin me call, trying to sweet talk me with offers after I switched to a different network. They just lost another long-time user who stuck with them for nearly 7 years, all due to their sky-high prices and plans that just dont make sense.

That phone number belongs to Three and it’s legit. If you’ve asked them for your PAC code, it’s normal to get a call from that number.

They sent me a message with a new deal trying to keep me, so I reckon this call was probably something similar. Bit late now though, as I’ve already signed up with a different company - why I needed the PAC in the first place. Seems like a genuine number but still a bit of a hassle.
