I'm on the phone with some total scammer right now who claims my Halifax branch is involved in some dodgy stuff - like a dishonest worker or something. Now they're pushing me to shift my account over to a new one. What’s worse, they want me to open it under a fake name! Can’t believe the nerve.

My elderly mum got a call from someone claiming to be from HSBC. They somehow talked her into giving her bank details and even told her to go to the bank and take out £15,000 to hand over to them. Quite worrying how they managed to fool her like that.

Total scam. Got a call and was told it was First Direct’s fraud hotline. Rang First Direct myself and they confirmed it wasn’t connected to them at all. They advised me to just hang up and block the number if it calls back.

My mum got loads of calls from this bloke yesterday who claimed he was with Santander. Nearly had her sending over £20,000 before we caught on. These scammers are proper dodgy. We’ve ended up freezing her account and let the bank know straight away about the whole scam. Totally shocking stuff.

An older lady I know got a call from some bloke with a foreign accent, using a different phone number each time. He claimed to be from Santander and tried to scam her. He even told her to ring a certain number back to “check” her details. Please watch out for these crooks - they target people who might not know better. Don’t let them catch you out!

Got a call and they kept pushing for my bank details, saying they needed to transfer funds between accounts. They’ve tried multiple times now. Honestly, it’s really risky. I’ve heard stories about them wiping out bank accounts in just a few minutes. They usually target older, more vulnerable folks. BE CAREFUL WITH THESE NASTY PEOPLE, FOR REAL!

My father-in-law, who has dementia, answered a phone call but we're not sure what was said during the conversation. I tried ringing the number myself and someone picked up claiming to be from Dunkin Donuts. When I repeated the number back to him, he insisted his number finished with a 5, not a 6 like the one I dialled. Now he won’t take my calls anymore!
