3 monthsIt's awful the way these scammers operate, especially targeting older folks who might fall for it. My dad got caught out when someone pretended to be me on WhatsApp, saying I was in some kind of trouble and needed £600 urgently. Lucky for me, I don't keep money in my bank for long so they can't get anything from me! But seeing my dad so upset, even crying, was heartbreaking - never thought I'd witness that. Such a grim situation.WhatsApp3 monthsGot a call from a number I didn’t recognise at all. After checking the reviews, it seemed dodgy so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.3 monthsI never actually got a phone call from this number but found it on an email that caught my attention. The number seemed linked to a parcel delivery firm called "Parcelcrest". Initially, they wanted me to cover a courier fee by using paysafe voucher payments for an item supposedly on its way to me. After handing over £35, I then got another email saying I still owed £75 as a refundable insurance deposit, which they claimed had been "explained" before. Thing is, I never saw any of that info and if I had, I’d have been immediately suspicious and avoided losing that £35.Parcelcrest2 yearsTotal scam! They were acting like they were from a bank.3 yearsClaiming to be Acespeed Couriers, it appears that my parcel has gone astray-the last I heard, it was supposedly held up in Chorley and hasn’t arrived. What a disappointing turn of events!Acespeed CouriersChorley4 yearsBase Couriers and Logistics, a parcel delivery service, is indeed a bona fide enterprise.Base Couriers and Logistics4 yearsDefinitely a rip off.4 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were from Base Courier, but it was definitely a scam. They wanted me to pay for shipping and "insurance" using Dundel payment cards. After that, the money supposedly goes to this company named Raizer, which is based in Asia, and of course, the parcel never shows up. I can’t say for sure if the seller had anything to do with it, but something about the whole thing felt dodgy. Ended up losing £125 to these scammers.
