Got a call from someone claiming to be from the council, saying I owe money. Funny thing is, I cleared all my debts before sorting my mortgage out. This is the second time they've called with almost the same message but changing up the numbers. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got a call from 0333 303 1348, claiming to be from Three Mobile. The person said loads of customers were having problems with their internet and calls, and they needed to check my account. When they asked for my password for the Three app, I was like, why do they need my password when they should already know my plan? After I pointed this out, the caller agreed and told me to hang up and visit a local Three Mobile shop. I later spoke to an actual Three Mobile rep who confirmed they hadn’t called me and advised me to report the number.

This number called me and sent a link to change my password, then actually asked me to give them the password. When I told them you should never share your password, they just ended the call.

It all seemed a bit fishy to me, the typical spiel about the best phone deal around without even asking what phone I currently use or how much I’m paying. Felt like they were just trying to get me to cough up for some "amazing" contract and phone combo without any proper info.

I always avoid leaving a voicemail.
