Just got a call from someone saying they were my bank warning me about fraud on my account. They asked for my balance to figure out how much got stolen. Honestly, don’t ring them back, it’s definitely a scam!

Got a call from someone called David Parker who said he was with debit card security. He told me there was a £900 purchase attempt using my details. Then he told me to call this number for Natwest fraud team, but it just sent me to an automated voice. Definitely a scam trying to steal your online banking info.

Some bloke with a thick Scottish accent called me up, addressed me by my name, and claimed there was a dodgy £900 transaction on my account which they’d supposedly blocked. He started pressing me for bank details, but I told him I wasn’t giving out any info on the phone and that I’d ring HSBC myself. Then, out of the blue, he quickly urged me to contact their fraud department at 0333 303 1036 and rattled off an 8-digit ref number. It was odd because the caller ID was hidden, which got me on my guard right away. I rang HSBC directly, went through their security checks, and they confirmed no shady activity was going on. Later, I looked up that 0333 number and saw it had been linked to scams before. Gotta say, the guy was pretty slick and convincing.

So, I got a call from someone claiming to be from First Direct's fraud team saying there were two big dodgy transactions on my account. Sounded quite legit at first, but then they started telling me the transaction details without asking me any security questions. That’s when I got suspicious and decided to call First Direct myself - turns out the call was a complete fake!

Saw an ad online for tractors being sold super cheap by a company called smiths-tractors. They’re using the company number 03417535 and VAT number gb 464849503. The sales agent’s name was Patrik Bauman. Feels dodgy, might be a scam.
