I called this number after getting a letter saying I'd applied for credit, but instead of using the number on the letter, I searched for New Day's official contact. The call kept getting passed around, ending up with the fraud team. They confirmed an application had been made but was declined, then asked for my personal info to report the fraud. That's when I got suspicious and ended the call. Honestly, don't trust letters like this or even numbers you assume are legit to ring back.

This number rang me three times, then a couple more calls came from a withheld number. Later I got a message from something called 'pulse', saying they'd send a follow-up text from a mobile number and to call 03332202532. Thought I'd give it a go. The hold music made it sound legit. I gave my name but the connection was rubbish, so I ended the call. Almost instantly, the same number called back and the man asked if I noticed anything dodgy on my accounts. I snapped back, "Are you joking? Do I look daft to you, scammer?" Then he just hung up on me.

This number really does belong to Pulse, but scammers have started copying it. They pretend to be from Pulse’s security team and try to trick you. Don’t speak to them right away - if you’re unsure, call Pulse directly using the number in your app. These fraudsters might ask you to approve a transaction while telling you they’re helping to stop it, so be careful!

Beware of a fraudster pretending to represent Pulse credit cards or New Day credit cards!

I got a letter from New Day too, and it definitely seemed like a con. The paper was really flimsy and the logo looked like it’d just been photocopied on. I didn’t even bother calling the number on the letter, figured it could be a premium line. Instead, I searched the number here and saw loads of similar comments from others.

Got a letter from New Day recently, and the same number was mentioned in there. They claimed I had some credit left on an account that’s actually closed. Luckily, I found this site and checked the number first. Massive thanks to everyone here - this definitely looks like a proper scam.

Today, I got a letter addressed to me but with my name spelled wrong, claiming to be from New Day. It said I supposedly have a credit balance on a closed account. I’ve never heard of New Day and have no links to the companies it mentioned, like John Lewis or Santander. The letter requests my bank information to send a "refund", which immediately rang alarm bells since banks don’t normally ask for such details unless you’re actually in the branch! I thought about calling just for a laugh, but decided not to reply to this clearly dodgy scam.

Got a call claiming to be from NewDay saying I had some credit on a card I’d already shut. They wanted my bank info but I asked for a cheque instead and then they suddenly went quiet. Afterwards, I got a text from the same number checking if all was ok. I decided to check the number here and it turned out to be a pretty smart scam. Watch out folks!

They claimed to be from Debenhams, but it was all a scam. They were attempting to trick me into giving my bank info.

The digits on this number almost match the one for the John Lewis Partnership Card, but John Lewis have confirmed it isn’t theirs. The call had that foreign vibe to it, and honestly, it felt like a total scam.
