No one picked up, but there was a faint sound of chatter in the background.9 yearsI just received a call this evening at 7:30pm on the 2nd of March, 2017. An elderly woman claimed she was ringing regarding my Sky services and wanted to discuss renewing my protection plan at a more affordable price. I quizzed her whether she was indeed from Sky, to which she emphatically replied yes and promised she could organise a new monthly direct debit at a reduced rate. I shared my past experience when I was duped by a young lady who also said she represented Sky and ended up swindling my bank details. They assured me the monthly direct debit would be around £9, yet I was shocked to find two deductions of £60 made over a couple of months. I only became aware of the issue when Sky contacted me about my policy renewal. I mentioned to the old woman that I suspected she might be unknowingly caught up in a scam, and I recounted my experience, but she abruptly ended the call.
