I managed to speak with a lady who claimed I’d signed up for this service, which I definitely hadn’t. After I emailed them, they finally replied but said I was only entitled to a refund of £18.00. They actually took £24.00 from me back in November, and then charged my phone provider another £13.71 for December. They insisted that I’d get my refund via text within 40 days - bit of a weird way to do it if you ask me. They seem dead set on only giving me the £18.00, but I’m not holding out much hope for that. I’ve reported the whole thing to the police as fraud.

I went through their questions and at the end they told me I'd be billed £4.50 weekly. I decided to cancel but then they hit me with a £4.50 cancellation fee. Tried ringing every number I could find but no luck getting my money back.

I had to use my phone instead of the work PC because the site wouldn’t load properly there. Once I put in the full address on my mobile, it went straight to the form. Honestly, phone companies really need to step up and do more to keep us safe. They just seem to ignore the problem and pass the buck. I got caught out by a scam too, and when I tried to text 82288 like they told me, it just wouldn’t send. Then I talked to someone from xinfreeplay, who told me to fill in some form and email it to a manager. But there’s no real website or anything to back it up. Feels like they just want to fob us off.

This number is linked to xinwin. I rang EE because there were some strange fees on my bill, and they told me to get in touch with this number - apparently the firm taking the money. I ended up speaking for quite a while to someone who insisted I’d signed up for their contests, which I definitely never did. They told me to visit xienquire.xinwin.co.uk to ask for my money back, but that site doesn’t even exist. Instead, I found loads of comments from others who’ve been ripped off by the same company.

I got fooled by this Xinwin lot claiming some link to Lidl supermarket as well. Tried texting stop to 88227 like others said, but still can’t find where to get my money back on their site. The person running this thing hides behind tiny print to squeeze cash from folks and must be making a killing. Seems like they’re skirting the law just enough to avoid trouble??? It’s really disappointing because supermarkets should be more careful about these things. I’m planning to reach out to Lidl and might even raise this with my MP.

I've been wrongly billed £140 by these folks for a service I never signed up to. When I called them to sort it out, they just told me to check their website, which just didn’t work for me. I then raised this with OFCOM, but they said there was nothing they could do. Next, I tried Payphoneplus who kept me waiting and eventually told me to ask xinwin for a refund. I said I didn’t want to do business with what feels like a scam company - I just want to file a proper complaint to stop others falling victim. I got caught out by this Xinwin lot too, supposedly linked to Lidl. I’ve just texted STOP to 88227, but like others, couldn’t track down any site for a refund. The way they hide info in tiny print makes it clear they’re just out to cash in on people, probably making a tidy profit. Seems like they’re skirting legal lines just enough to avoid trouble. Still, it’s shocking a big supermarket chain like Lidl isn’t keeping a closer eye on this. I’m planning to reach out to Lidl directly, and might even raise it with my MP. P. Hillier, July 21st 2016.

Since April, I’ve been getting calls from this company called XWIN.CO.UK or XIENQUIRE.XINWIN.CO.UK - apparently the same outfit. They ring me then just cut off straight away, hoping I'll call back their expensive number to check who called me. It’s a sneaky way to make money from missed calls! Loads of people have complained about them now, so hopefully the authorities will step in soon. I found out the owner is a Brad Stevens from 10 Priory Avenue, Northwich, postcode CW9 8UA - they really need paying him a visit!

My phone number is 07795 230651 and since April 2016 I've been racking up huge charges from 88227, but I have no clue why. I got in touch with Phonepayplus and they directed me to Xinion. I spoke with a woman there who told me to reach out through this site to stop the service and get my money back, so that's what I'm doing now. Since September last year, ive been hit with over £180 for texts I never wanted and had tried cancelling ages ago. The firm reckon it might be something on my phone blocking me from replying to their short codes. They also told me to try sorting a refund at xienquire.xinwin.co.uk. But when I looked up that site, loads of people are moaning about it too, so honestly, I dont even know the best way to complain anymore!

Since June 2015 I've had a monthly debit of £26.40 labelled as orange home on my bank statements, which I assumed was for my mobile. Turns out my provider combines mobile and broadband bills, so it wasn't for my phone alone - silly me for not spotting that earlier. Since I started paying for my phone myself at the end of January, I noticed a weekly deduction of £3.75 dating back from 4th July 2015. That’s roughly £90 taken without me knowing. I got in touch with them and they just kept saying it’s in their terms and conditions, but I honestly never saw any of that. I’ve been given a “manager” to speak to, though I’m still waiting to hear back. If they don’t get back to me soon, I’m planning to contact trading standards. Fingers crossed it gets sorted!

I noticed an extra £20 charge every month added to my regular bill and assumed it was because I forgot to switch off my roaming data. I called Virgin first, and they told me to send a text saying "stop all" to 8288. After that, I rang 03332026452, which is the company's number, and managed to get my refund sorted.

I've been charged £4.50 for each text from this number and it's really frustrating. I'm with EE and usually, when I add £10 credit, I get a £10 everything pack every month. But this time, I didn't even manage to use the pack because the money disappeared straight away because of messages from this number.
