Got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent claiming he was from E.on. He said he'd disconnect our power if we didn't agree to chat with him. Proper threatening stuff!

Someone rang claiming to be from British Gas, saying my account was about to expire and I had to renew it. I kept asking for my account number but they couldn’t provide it. The call seemed to be coming from somewhere like India, and I could hear someone guiding the person on the other end. When I told them I didn’t believe they were really British Gas, they just kept insisting they were. I ended the call. I’m sure they’ll try to call me back again.

Got calls from someone claiming to be Eon, wanting to sort out my business contract renewal. They just wouldn’t accept a refusal and kept ringing me about 12 times within two hours. Quite annoying!

Every time the phone rang it was a new energy company trying to sell something. They just wouldn’t accept ‘no’ for an answer. Even after I ended the call, they kept ringing back again and again. Such a pain!
