Got a call from someone claiming to be from e-on about my gas supply. I shared a bit of info but started getting suspicious when they began asking about how many people live with me and other stuff. I asked to be connected to a different department and they gave me a new number to call back. It was an 0800 number, which I knew wasn’t actually e-on. It sounded so legit though - watch out folks!

Someone said they were from EON NEXT and left a voicemail asking me to ring them back on an 0800 number. Oddly, the 0800 number sounded legit at first, with a recorded message before putting me on hold. The alarm bells started ringing when a bloke answered super quickly, but his voice echoed like he was on a dodgy Bluetooth headset or something.
