FRAUD ALERT - BE VERY CAREFUL! They’re pretending to be from RBS/NatWest and sending a fake security code to try and trick you over the phone. DON’T FALL FOR IT. Just tell them you’ll visit your local branch to talk about your accounts face-to-face. Don’t get scared if they claim they’ll block your cards or freeze your account - it’s total rubbish.

This number is a legit one from NatWest/RBS - they are basically the same bank, just so folks know and stop worrying for no reason. I work as a Skills Coach in Financial Services and my apprentices from various branches call me often, all from this exact number, so I'm pretty sure it’s a proper, official line used commonly by both banks.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the RBS fraud department about two direct debits on my account and asked if I recognised them. Of course, I didn’t. It sounded really convincing. They had my full name, phone number, and knew which bank I used. They said they needed to verify some security info to keep my accounts safe. That’s when I got wary and told them I'd call back. I then rang RBS fraud on a separate number and they told me it wasn’t them and promptly blocked my account. Nearly got caught out there. Watch out for this number!

Don’t pick up this call. You’ll receive a message supposedly from a consultant claiming they can help you cut costs and save time by optimising your products. They’ll provide an email that seems like it belongs to NatWest and a mobile number. They might even say you can visit the branch they’re calling from. I’ve double-checked with NatWest, and it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call back from this number from the same person I was talking to earlier, who first rang me on a number listed as Natwest. This call didn’t last long, he just needed to confirm a few things about our previous chat. Got a missed call, rang back and some bloke said he was from RBS premium banking, wanted my customer number. I didn’t give it to him. Then he asked if I had a premium account, I said no. Told him I work there and if they needed to talk to me, they’d ring again. It all seemed a bit fishy to me.

some guy rang my mum yesterday, kept pestering her after he'd got her hooked and found out she'd had some problems with her bank card over the weekend. he told her the RBS could help get her a ticket and said he'd fix the "£25,000" she was told had been taken already. had her completely under his spell. now we're down £40,000 and the whole family’s panicking, even tho we're spread out all over. honestly, I hope there's a special spot in hell reserved for these scammers. watch out!

supposedly called by the “santander fraud team”. total scam, im sure. they wanted info on a transaction i supposedly made. i didnt say a thing, just ended the call. rang up the real santander fraud department and they said they never phoned me. the number showing up is actually royal bank of scotland’s. obvious spoofing going on here. definitely a dodgy caller! watch out!
