1 monthGot a text saying I need to get in touch quickly to sort out a chest x-ray appointment.11 monthsI got a few texts saying I should ring this number to book a lung cancer screening, and then a letter arrived from them as well. I popped into my nearby hospital and showed the staff the messages. They said someone else’s mum had similar messages and that it was legit. Still, I’m quite sceptical about the whole thing to be honest.1 yearSince February I’ve been getting calls from these people asking me to verify some medical info. When I said no, they got really pushy and told me they’d keep ringing until I gave in. They haven’t stopped, ringing and texting nonstop. I even contacted my doctor to check, and he assured me he had nothing to do with it. They use two numbers: 020 3835 1600 and 03332023189. To make things worse, they’re spreading some made-up story that’s supposed to be linked to the BBC news site.BBC1 yearToday I got a text that looked like it was from the NHS, but the way it was written and the phone number didn’t match what I’ve seen before. I’ve already talked to someone from the lung NHS team, so I’m pretty sure this was a scam.NHS2 yearsMy elderly dad got a text telling him to ring this number, but it didn't actually have a number in the message - it just showed up as "NHSBookings" on his phone.2 yearsI looked up the number and the organisation behind it, then gave them a ring myself. Turns out it’s a genuine NHS service that handles lung health screenings.NHS2 yearsSome dodgy caller claimed to be from NHS Bookings, asking loads of personal health stuff. Pretty sure it was a scam trying to get my private info. Watch out!NHS Bookings2 yearsTotally a rip-off, no doubt about it!2 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be from the NHS or some cancer screening programme. They started asking whether I’d gone straight from school to college or jumped into work years ago. If they were really from a proper health service, they wouldn’t be quizzing me like that. Seems dodgy to me, so I just blocked the number - definitely not to be trusted!NHS2 yearsI've been receiving messages about some lung screening thingy. They even know my first name and want me to ring this number. Seeing as lung checks usually come from your GP, I would've expected a letter through the post if it was legit. Feels like this number is dodgy to me.9 yearsGot a call yesterday from someone claiming they were from the claims dept about PPI. They said I could get extra cash back, just needed my postcode so they could send some forms for me to sign. I told them to keep calling if that’s what they want.Submit Your Own Report (0333 202 3189)
